Cannot Be Shaken

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which
cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains
surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both
now and forevermore.

Psalms 125:1-2

-------------------------
As believers we should have tremendous confidence because when we have God on our side we "cannot be shaken." Regardless what happens to us here on earth, we will reign with God forever in Heaven! Have a blessed day everyone...be on the look out for next week's Bible study coming sometime tomorrow.

Canden Update 3

Little Man got to go home today. It has been a long couple of weeks!!! Thank the Lord that Canden's surgery was successful and he healed up enough to leave the hospital before they were expected him to! Thank you all for your prayers and kind words and thoughts.

Also...a brother of a friend of mine was supposed to have come home tonight after an extensive surgery. As far as I know the surgery went well for him but I know he was in a lot of pain for a few days afterwards. Keep him and his family in your prayers as he recovers from his surgery.

God Bless!

John 10:27-29

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never
perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My
Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no
one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.

John 10:27-29

I find it very comforting knowing that once I have accepted Christ and become a Child of God that that status will never change! Thank you for your many blessings Lord...I wish I could give you more.

Canden Surgery Update

Canden's surgery went as well as it could have gone today and hopefully he'll be coming home in about a week or so. He still has a few things he has to go through, but everything looks promising. They said that one of his testicles is sitting inside of his abdomen, but they don't want to do anything with that until he is around 1 year old. There is a possibility that it will drop down on its own, but the doctors weren't sure about it. The drs acted like it was nothing major and seemed very happy with everything so we are all excited. In about 3 weeks he will have a check-up and make sure everything with the surgery is "holding up" and Canden is doing well. We really appreciate all the prayers! Thanks for all the prayers. MUCHO APPRECIATED!!!

I'll Be Back...

So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many
people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin,
but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Canden Update 2

Hello All...

They are going to do a biopsy on Canden tomorrow to make sure that he does have Hirschsprung's disease. The results from that should be in by the middle of next week. Once those results get back and we find out for certain that it is what they think it is, they will begin a "cleansing process" that will take about 2 weeks. They will then hopefully be able to perform the surgery on Canden and after recovery he will hopefully be able to come home. The doctors are optimistic and expect him to be fine. We are all relieved that this is fixable, it is just going to take a little longer than we wanted or expected. Your prayers are very much appreciated and we hope you will continue to pray as Canden and our family handles this situation. God is great!!!

God Bless...

Need Your Prayers!

Canden has had some complications and they are transporting him to MUSC. All we know right now is that they believe his stomach has dropped, preventing him from feeding and using the bathroom.

The family is a nervous wreck right now, so please throw a few prayers up for Canden, the family, the doctors and everyone else involved.

God, You are in control.

Thank You!

Sorry...Living in God's Calling

Sorry kiddos...no new post for this week. I was unexpectedly busy and scatterbrained on the blog this week. Check out this devotional from Charles Stanley's devotional magazine and if you haven't seen last week's post, get on it!
-----------------------------------------------------
LIVING IN GOD'S CALLING
READ Esther 3:13; 4:4-16

Knowing that we have a calling from the Lord is one thing, but living it out is another. Esther reached a point in her life when fulfilling God’s plan became risky and dangerous. The Lord had placed her in a position of influence, but using that power could cost the young woman her life.

Few are called to be kings or queens, but we have all been given places of influence to one degree or another. The Lord has placed you in your family, community, and church to fulfill His purposes for your life in this generation. As long as you are breathing, He is still working out His will for you.

How will you respond to His calling? There are only two options: cooperate by submitting to His plan, or resist Him. Trying to avoid or ignore the opportunities He presents is a form of resistance. Maybe the cost of obedience seems too high, but what about the cost of disobedience?

Eventually, every Christian is going to encounter a situation that tests his or her willingness to obey God. When that time comes, remember the lesson from Esther. If you refuse, the Lord will use someone else, and you will lose the opportunity to fulfill His calling. Maybe you have been placed in a difficult situation “for such a time as this”—to be an influence for Christ in our dark world.

Living in God’s calling isn’t always easy, but it is always worth the risk. Each step will reveal the faithfulness of our Lord, encouraging us to trust Him in the next opportunity He provides. As our faith grows, His perfect timing will become evident, and we’ll look with joy and expectation for what awaits us.
