Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
Revelation 3:19-22

I am so glad I opened my door when Jesus knocked on it when I was seven years old. What I'm not glad about is how rarely I invite Him to come in and eat with me. He says Himself in this scripture that He is standing at my door, I just don't take the time to open it. How selfish can I be? I mean, He died for me, and I can't take a few minutes each day to read my Bible. It is so comforting to know that no matter how many times I push Him to the side, He will still love me, and will still be standing outside my door when I need Him, ready to take me with Him to sit on His throne. What an awesome feeling!
